• Use local WiFi wherever possible.
• Check the settings on your device, and where possible ensure WiFi Calling IS enabled.
• Avoid calling all Non-Geographic numbers, such as 0845, 0870, etc. If possible use the 01, 02, or 03 numbers associated with the company.
• Avoid subscribing to Premium text services as they are very expensive. To stop these services/texts please follow the advice given by the provider.
• Avoid calling directory enquires unless essential or authorized, if so then use your networks services:
• Do not ask to be connected to a call via the directory inquiry service, wait for the text to come through, or record the number and then dial the number.
• If abroad and not intending to use data then turn off ‘Data Roaming’.
• Don’t leave applications open on your device.
• Send a picture attached to an email or use an app such as Microsoft Teams if you have preferably when connected to WiFi.
• Premium numbers ie 090.. 070 appear to look like a normal mobile number, these are charged from 50p up to £2.00 per minute.
